So, I finally dove into my first ever African true crime podcast, and wow—what a ride!
🎧 Hosted by D. M. Nur

the True Crime Kenya Podcast brings a refreshing and gripping take on crime storytelling from the continent.
I listened to two amazing episodes:
🔹 Ep 1: Lucy Muhami
🔹 Ep 2: Kate Mitchell
Each story unfolds with meticulous craftsmanship, offering a well-defined beginning, a captivating buildup, and a satisfying conclusion. The inaugural episode, however, tantalizingly leaves you on the edge, igniting a sense of mystery rather than falling into the realm of gore. It masterfully skirts the boundaries of true crime, leaning more towards a thrilling narrative that keeps you guessing.
What particularly caught my attention in the second episode was its unexpected twist midway through, revealing the intricate layers and depth that each storyline possesses. This complexity adds a richness that enhances the overall experience, making the unfolding tales both surprising and thought-provoking.
The production quality is nothing short of exceptional, showcasing a level of polish that elevates the listening experience. D. M. Nur’s narration is particularly engaging, striking a perfect balance—captivating listeners without veering into over-the-top dramatics.
It’s clear that great care has been taken in crafting each episode, as every detail feels deliberate and impactful, ensuring that the experience resonates deeply with the audience.
For those who have a passion for true crime, a curiosity about Kenyan stories... " be curious ", or simply an appreciation for intricately woven mysteries, this podcast is an absolute must-listen. It offers not just entertainment, but a genuine journey into the heart of storytelling.
